It's hard to believe that it is already June! Time flies quickly. Soon it will be time for the lazy days of summer.
In Literacy this week we continued our writing about Charlotte's Web. The children are getting very good at retelling a story they have heard.
We worked on the "dr" blend and learned words such as drip, drop, dry, and dragonfly. We did a guided drawing of a dragonfly using art hub, and did a little bit of dragonfly research. Ask your child what he/she learned about dragonflies.
Our new words for next week June 4-8 will be:
- people
- there
- rain
- what
- night
In Math this week both Ms. Cvach and Mrs. Kenna's math groups worked on solving multi-step word problems. Mrs. Kenna's group taught Ms. Cvach's group how to play a card game where the objective was to make a ten using number pairs, in order to get rid of all the cards to win the game.
