The children were very excited to show off their dance moves this week in Gym. We put on a small performance in the gym on Friday and they were all looking very "cool". Thanks to Sound Kreations for giving us such an amazing experience and thank you to Parent Council for assisting with funds :)
Our new words of the week for June 11-15:

In Literacy we continue to listen to Charlottes Web. Wilbur is now at the Fair and is worried that he will not win any prizes when compared to the big pig next door. We only have 4 more chapters left! The story is getting a little bit suspenseful and the children are enjoying it.
Also in Literacy this week, we have been reading some Diary books. Diary of a Worm and Diary of a Spider have been the highlights. The student have started writing their own diaries from a bug or animal of their choice. In order to write the diary entries, students are encouraged to look up facts about the animal of their choice to help with the writing process. Ask your child to share what animal or bug they have chosen to write about.
Here are some journal entries from this week:
We practiced our Word Wall words by finding them in a word search. The children teamed up to share their ideas. Some of the words were diagonal and some of those were even backwards! They did a good job of finding them all.
In Math, we have been learning about skip counting and how that leads to multiple adding (multiplication). Students are excited to skip count and show patterns in the numbers. Some of them are even representing multiplication equations. Wow!
Here are a few more pictures of our week:
We can't believe there are only two and a half weeks to go. Where has the time gone? Have a super weekend everyone :-)
